Tom Vadden's niece created a Facebook site called "Friends of Camp Brisson" for anyone interested.

Walter Pieczkolon died on October 11 and was buried yesterday, October 17 from St. Timothy Church here in Northeast Philadelphia.

Walter entered the Oblates in 1969, the year after me, and left a few years later. Although I never got to know him well, He was always a very pleasant guy and always a gentleman. As you can see from his death notice, he later married and stayed within the larger NE Phila neighborhood.
I attended his viewing yesterday morning but could not stay for the funeral Mass because I had to get to work. Interestingly, Walter was laid out wearing his profession cross and his memorial card included a picture of St. Francis de Sales (attached). Apparently, he never lost the spirit.
